Ballet has been great for beginning to get my technique and form better for having my hip hop moves sharp and precise. I will need to keep it going to at least the next couple of months twice a week, and then I will see how I am going and maybe cut back to once a week.
I realise I need to do more Jazz classes. I have had a couple of full on sessions dancing in my hotel room here to some good hip hop tunes and just free styling. This was great as it highlighted to me that I need to do some work on having my movements flow together and my lines be much sharper. Jazz will help with this.
I have loved my hip hop classes with Joseph Ling, and I am going to keep working with him and possibly hire out the studio at City Dance and get Joseph to do some longer classes and invite other dancers along also.
My fitness has improved a lot, and I think I am ready to up my dance training to 2 classes a day now plus my usual technique, core and functional training in the mornings.
So to wrap up this month I have thrown myself into dancing, and I am not looking back. I am so passionate about it and love it so much. I want to get to the best level I can of hip hop and create cool choreography!
I look forward to the next month and will add some more video content at the end of next month to show my improvements.
